What is happeniing in Pheonix?

Yet again, the media comes to the rescue.

"Today could make 07' a record breaker"

Today should be the day that allows us to tell our grandchildren that we were here in the summer of 2007.

Sometime late this afternoon, the temperature is expected to hit 110, and we will have set a record for misery: 29 days of at least 110 degrees in a year.

On Tuesday, we tied the record of 28 days, and the National Weather Service is predicting that we will get to 111 degrees today.

........................

Of course this proves only one thing: It is August in Phoenix.

Is that really news worthy? I mean, Arizona is for the most part desert, isn't it?

Of course, we could all jump on the Edwards bandwagon and "sacrifice our SUV's". That's rich language coming from a millionaire who flies in a private jet, and has his own convoy rolling into towns all over the nation while on the campaign trail.
Check out this photo from "radaronline.com"

Mr. Edwards is leaving his private jet, and heading
straight to his own Greenhouse Gas Emissions Propeller.

That's sort of like having Hillary speak out against make-up,
bad hair and pant-suits, isn't it?

How long will the public let them get away with this sort of doublespeak? I can guarantee you that if George W. Bush was telling people to ditch their big vehicles, there would be a whole herd of reporters following his motorcade from now until he leaves office.
