Jesus (Yeshua) the Prophet...

Deut 1 - "If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, 2 and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, 'Let us go after other gods'--which you have not known--'and let us serve them,' 3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him. 5 But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has spoken in order to turn you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of bondage, to entice you from the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. So you shall put away the evil from your midst.

Mang - The “evil in their midst” is the prophet that leads them away from walking in “the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk”. If Jesus’ (Yeshua's) work on the cross means that we no longer have to walk in God’s commandments, then he is a false prophet and worthy of death. Coincidently, this is why Jews don't adhere to the Jesus that the church offers them; they can not, because that Jesus says that they don't have to observe Torah any longer, thus making him a false prophet according to the very Torah that He fulfilled.

A King in Israel must…

Deuteronomy 17:14 "When you come to the land which the Lord your God is giving you, and possess it and dwell in it, and say, 'I will set a king over me like all the nations that are around me,' 15 you shall surely set a king over you whom the Lord your God chooses; one from among your brethren you shall set as king over you; you may not set a foreigner over you, who is not your brother. 16 But he shall not multiply horses for himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt to multiply horses, for the Lord has said to you, 'You shall not return that way again.' 17 Neither shall he multiply wives for himself, lest his heart turn away; nor shall he greatly multiply silver and gold for himself.

18 "Also it shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write for himself a copy of this law in a book, from the one before the priests, the Levites. 19 And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the Lord his God and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these statutes, 20 that his heart may not be lifted above his brethren, that he may not turn aside from the commandment to the right hand or to the left, and that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his children in the midst of Israel.

Mang - Notice that He and his children are to do the Law and Statutes. All of the festivals, including the 613 commandments, and the dietary laws fall into that category. In fact, every law that is mentioned in the entire Old Testament falls into this category, because Jesus said that the Book in its entirety speaks of Him – the Law (Torah) and the Prophets (making up the Tanach, or "Old Testament").

Also notice that he is to write the Law in the book of the priests. Personally, I believe (because of Jeremiah 31:31) that He will also be writing those commandments somewhere else from that throne. Jeremiah 31:31 says that He will write them in our hearts as well.

We know that He will reign from David’s throne, and we know that He has not, nor ever will break Torah – on the contrary, he will write it in our hearts, and He and we will do as the Father commanded forever.

I don’t want to poke the issue with a stick, but with Christmas coming up, I wanted to throw this in…

2 And Aaron said to them, "Break off the golden earrings which are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me." 3 So all the people broke off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them to Aaron. 4 And he received the gold from their hand, and he fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made a molded calf.

Then they said, "This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!"

5 So when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it. And Aaron made a proclamation and said, "Tomorrow is a feast to the Lord." 6 Then they rose early on the next day, offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

7 And the Lord said to Moses, "Go, get down! For your people whom you brought out of the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves. 8 They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them. They have made themselves a molded calf, and worshiped it and sacrificed to it, and said, 'This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!'" 9 And the Lord said to Moses, "I have seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-necked people! 10 Now therefore, let Me alone, that My wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation.

Mang - Aaron proclaimed a feast of the Lord that didn’t exist, and he intended to worship God with the pagan idol that he had made. The issue was not that they were worshiping the calf, but rather worshiping the Lord with the image of a calf, and then making up their own day in which to do it. God gets very angry, and threatens to wipe them out.
