I knew this was coming.

...I just figured it would be Democrats accepting the confessions.

Priest offers festival-goers the chance to confess their green sins

Forgotten to recycle any newspapers or tin cans recently? Feeling guilty because you neglected to carbon offset your flight to somewhere, anywhere, outside England this summer?

The Roman Catholic Church is at hand with a new line in “green confessions” to help eco-sinners to find forgiveness.

Dom Anthony Sutch, the Benedictine monk who resigned as head of Downside School to become a parish priest in Suffolk, will be at the county’s Waveney Greenpeace festival this weekend to hear eco-confessions in what is thought to be the first dedicated confessional booth of its kind...

(blah, blah, blah)

“I know the Pope has now set up his own airline, but I am told the Vatican will be planting trees every time it flies. I do think the way we treat our environment is important.

“There is a huge amount of greed in the West. We have to be aware of the consequences of how we live.”

(blah, blah, blah)

“I imaging people will be confessing to things like, ‘I have bought a new car even though I didn't need one’, or ‘I flew to Australia last year’. I have come up with some penances, such as making a donation to a green charity or telling ten other people what you have done.”

Maybe somebody needs to tell him what they do to those trees at Christmas time.

I feel better already.

Goose, meet gander.

Just another picture of everybody's favorite Pretty-boy, John Edwards. He makes ridicule too easy. I am referring of course to his comments about America's need to sacrifice their SUV's.
See, Edwards thinks this to be a noble idea for the common folk, but he obviously holds himself to a different standard.

Ben Smith: August 29, 2007

Speaking to machinists in Florida today, John Edwards said he'd expect Americans to sacrifice their inefficient cars, and specifically to give up their SUVs, AP reports.

But campaigning turns out to be a pretty high-carbon practice. All the candidates ride around, particularly in Iowa, in big cars — Hillary rode an 18-wheeler; Obama rented an RV; and Edwards, whose convoy is often mini-van centric, had this Cadillac SRX Crossover (15 mpg) beside him in Iowa on his arrival from announcing his candidacy for president in New Orleans, according to his Flickr stream.

...he really does have a lustrous head of hair, doesn't he?

What is happeniing in Pheonix?

Yet again, the media comes to the rescue.

"Today could make 07' a record breaker"
John Faherty
The Arizona Republic
Aug. 29, 2007 12:00 AM

Today should be the day that allows us to tell our grandchildren that we were here in the summer of 2007.

Sometime late this afternoon, the temperature is expected to hit 110, and we will have set a record for misery: 29 days of at least 110 degrees in a year.

On Tuesday, we tied the record of 28 days, and the National Weather Service is predicting that we will get to 111 degrees today.

Of course this proves only one thing: It is August in Phoenix.

Is that really news worthy? I mean, Arizona is for the most part desert, isn't it?

Of course, we could all jump on the Edwards bandwagon and "sacrifice our SUV's". That's rich language coming from a millionaire who flies in a private jet, and has his own convoy rolling into towns all over the nation while on the campaign trail.
Check out this photo from ""

Mr. Edwards is leaving his private jet, and heading
straight to his own Greenhouse Gas Emissions Propeller.

That's sort of like having Hillary speak out against make-up,
bad hair and pant-suits, isn't it?

How long will the public let them get away with this sort of doublespeak? I can guarantee you that if George W. Bush was telling people to ditch their big vehicles, there would be a whole herd of reporters following his motorcade from now until he leaves office.

Authorities Put Anti-Suicide Phones On Tappan Zee

(CBS/AP) TARRYTOWN, N.Y. Suicide prevention telephones have been activated on the approaches to one of the country's largest bridges in hopes that people intent on jumping to their deaths can be dissuaded by one last human voice.

More than 25 people have made fatal jumps from the Tappan Zee Bridge into the Hudson River in the past 10 years, the state Thruway Authority said.

Read it all, and ask yourself,
"Why wasn't this necessary 20 years ago?"

In this girl's defense, I have lived approximately 85% of my life with my foot in my mouth.

I was teaching at church a couple weeks ago, and said "What time does Jim finish up? I'm usually asleep by now."
I don't even remember what I was trying to say. Everybody just looked at me, wondering if I was joking or not.

Vick found Jesus

I hate sports. I hate the attitudes that come with sports, I hate the way fans (and parrents) act at sporting events, and I hate the high-dollar industry it has become in America. I do, however, enjoy it when any person makes a public confession of Christ... even if he is a dog fighting football star.

Providing this isn't simply fueled by circumstances, this could be the best thing that has ever happened in Michael Vick's life. If he is sincere, then he deserves our prayers; if he isn't sincere, he still deserves our prayers. One thing is for sure; you can't fake having the Holy Spirit.

Now all he has to do is live it.

Shabbat Shalom

Just in case I don't get a chance to post again,
Shabbat Shalom.

Photo from "The Lekarev Report" website.

UN-believable, UN-ethical, and UN-real

Brace yourselves. I have just read the most ridiculous article on the internet to date.
A good friend of mine just sent me the "Lekarev Report", and the top headline says this:

UN Chooses IRAN for Anti-Racism Leadership Position

Yes, you read that correctly. Is it just me, or does it seem like the UN is actively trying to eradicate the Jewish people? When the most recent Lebanon War ended, the UN stepped in, only to watch Hezbollah rebuild. They even went as far as to repair bridges for them, so they could move weapons.
Now, the useless idiots at the UN are going to put Iran in charge of the Anti-Racism Position!?! It doesn't take a genius to realize that is a bad move. I wasn't going to call people idiots on this site anymore, but a move like this from the UN demands it.
These people are idiots. They have turned their backs on justice, and are pandering to bigoted, Jew-hating terrorists.
Scripture says that in the last days, the entire world will join together and fight against God and His people; well, here is where it starts.

Here is the story - READ IT ALL.

UN Chooses IRAN for Anti-Racism Leadership Position
Yes, that headline is correct - believe it or not! The United Nations has chosen IRAN, despite its numerous calls for Israel's destruction, and repeated denials of the Holocaust, for a leading position in a committee that will plan the 2009 UN World Conference against Racism. The committee will have its first meeting in Geneva on August 27th, led by Libya.

The decision to include Iran in the committee has been blasted by UN watchdogs. "As a UN spokesperson against racism, Iran will invert totally the message and mission of the United Nations," Anne Bayefsky, senior editor of the New York-based Eye on the UN, said in a press release. "Iran is now poised to wrap itself in a UN flag as a lead agent of the next global conference against racism, Durban II," she added, referring to the 2001 UN conference on racism held in Durban, South Africa, which saw unprecedented levels of anti-Zionist rhetoric and calls for Israel's destruction.
Speaking to Ynetnews, Bayefsky said that "the leading exponents of anti-Semitism, whether directed at Jews individually or the Jewish people and its state generally, continue to be provided a global platform at the UN. This is but one example of a broader phenomenon."
"Eye on the UN has found that in 2006 the UN system as a whole directed the most condemnations for human rights abuses against specific states - first towards Israel and fourth towards the United States.
Iran was lower down on the list of UN human rights concerns," Bayefsky said, adding: "And yet the US taxpayer continues to pay a quarter of the bill for activities which demonize Americans and Israelis on a global scale."
A spokesperson for the UN's Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights confirmed to Ynetnews that "Iran is one of 20 States who are members of the bureau of the Preparatory Committee." When asked how a state which openly denies the
Holocaust could find itself in such a role, the spokesperson said: "The Preparatory Committee is an inter-governmental body, meaning States were chosen freely to sit on the Prep-Com. It is the Member-States who decide."
Bayefsky explained that the structure of the UN's Human Rights Council has effectively been taken over by the countries of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), allowing
Iran and Libya access to key roles.
"This conference is turning into a wolf in sheep's clothing. The
United Nations' government and diplomats do not think the way regular people think. They treat every country equally and do not use common sense principles. That attitude is contrary to the UN charter, which says members who act contrary to the charter's principles of supporting peace should be expelled," declared Hillel Neuer, Executive Director of the Geneva-Based UN Watch organization.
Anyone with even a cursory knowledge of the biblical prophets' writings can readily see how the mechanisms are being methodically put in place for the ultimate rejection of
Israel by all the nations. (See Zechariah 12 - 14; perhaps you'd like to start reading with Zechariah 11: 16-17)

Dem on Dem crime

I do not like Obama.
I do not care for his values, his politics, or his stance on conservative issues. I do not want him to be the president, nor do I believe that he has a chance in Hades.
I know nothing about his wife either, except that I loved it when she said this about "Clinton Inc.", AKA: Mr. and Mrs. Clinton:

Friday's Shabbat table

I almost forgot; this last Friday's Shabbat dinner table looked so good that I took a picture of it.

Attention: The Shabbat bread is not as large as it appears.

The state we find ourselves in

There was an accident on-set at the newest Tom Cruise movie, "Valkrie".
This is news enough, being as Tom is considered to be the new "Messiah-like" figure of the Church of Scientology; how could he let this happen?

That is not the story though. In the article, CNN tells us that 11 people were hurt, and get this:

"We have no findings to suggest anyone famous was involved in the accident," said a police spokesman, adding he did not know whether it would affect the shoot this week.

Whew! its a good thing that it was only the bottom feeding scum-bag pawns Tom was using in the scene, huh? Wow; that could have been real news had it been a "famous" person and all.

Are you beginning to see why Rush calls the Drive by Media "Leftist Elites"? too.

Here we go.

This isn't good. These people are just poking us with a stick until they provoke a response. Achmudaweenieman has said openly that he wants to bring on Armageddon, and it looks like he is going to give it a shot by destabilizing the safest place in Iraq.
Why would they do this to their "own people" you may ask? Keep in mind that the Iranians are Persians...

Kurds flee homes as Iran shells villages in Iraq

Iraqi Kurdish officials expressed deepening concern yesterday at an upsurge in fierce clashes between Kurdish guerrillas and Iranian forces in the remote border area of north-east Iraq, where Tehran has recently deployed thousands of Revolutionary Guards.

Jabar Yawar, a deputy minister in the Kurdistan regional government, said four days of intermittent shelling by Iranian forces had hit mountain villages high up on the Iraqi side of the border, wounding two women, destroying livestock and property, and displacing about 1,000 people from their homes. Mr Yawer said there had also been intense fighting on the Iraqi border between Iranian forces and guerrillas of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), an armed Iranian Kurdish group that is stepping up its campaign for Kurdish rights against the theocratic regime in Tehran..

UPDATE: As I was driving to work this morning, this story was running through my head, and I realized that the source is the "Guardian", which has been less than trustworthy in the past. Read this artical with the proverbial grain of salt...

Life and Hillary, and the Communist Manifesto

Ann Rice has written a statement in which though the writing is eloquent, her talking points are as contradictory as me saying I eat kosher, but still love my BLT sandwiches.
I admire her convictions, but the lack of knowledge of her preferred party and candidate are mind numbing.
Personally, I do not know how any bible believing Christian could be a Democrat at all, let alone a supporter of Hillary. Does that sound harsh? Take a look at the Muslim giving his blessing at this years DNC convention. Does it sound cold? Then look at Mr. and Mrs. Clinton's track record while in office. Better yet, try to recover all of the locked up documents and memoirs that she is guarding until after the 2008 election.

I love it when I read about famous people who have given their lives to Jesus Christ, but when their statements are so misinformed as to be in open support of such a vile woman, I have to wonder if they are not hurting the body as a whole. Ann says that she deeply respects differing opinions in the political arena, but I wonder if she will still respect Hillary when she realizes who she really is... and who she is is not a pro-life Christian.

Hillary's talking points are taken directly out of the Communist Manifesto. If you don't believe me, download it here. Now, whether that is coincidence or not is to be debated, but the facts remain the same. From socialized health care to the indoctrination of our children, it is all in there.
Any student of history knows that Communism is detrimental to the Christian church. Whether it is Marxism or Maoism, the result is the same; namely the stamping out of believers in our Lord. Read this carefully, I have not said that Ann or Hillary are Communists. I have nothing against Ann, aside for her latest statement. It would be foolish however, to overlook the resemblances found in Hillary's speeches to that of the Communist handbook.
We must, as a people, be on guard against the infiltration of socialism in our culture, and Hillary is trying with maddening fierceness to make it the norm. As a believer in Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah), I can not for the life of me see how another believer could find any common ground with such a person or ideology.

I would encourage all believers to research the term "Separation of Church and State". Ann hasn't. I know that she hasn't, because of the ignorance of the statements on her website - as a believer, it would do her good to see why, when, by whom and to whom this statement was first penned. In researching this, ask yourself why "In God We Trust" was made our country's motto by an act of congress. Ask yourself why there is multiple depictions of Moses giving the Ten Commandments at our nation's Supreme Court. Better yet, why do they still open with prayer?

Our government should never demand that we comply to a "State Religion". That was the intent of our forefathers. John Robinson brought his congregation to America to escape State sponsored religion. It has nothing to do with our leaving our convictions behind us when we enter that ballot booth.

Ann, step away from the computer for a few days, and become a student of history.

Pray for Jamaica.

Cox and Forkum

Usually Littlegreenfootballs beats me to the good ones, but I won this time.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

From the "Patriot Post":

Debunking the gullible warming Gorons

(EDITOR’S NOTE: This is a talking-point summary of developments regarding global-climate trends that have been collected since we published a comprehensive essay on the topic, “Global Warming: Fact, Fiction and Political Endgame”, in February of this year. That original essay has been revised and updated to include the new information in this summary.)

Correcting the record

Most of the evidence concerning U.S. temperature trends is collected by NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center, which gathers information from about 1,200 weather observation stations across the nation. These stations are small wooden sheds with thermometers, which are read at intervals, mostly by volunteers. Many are located in sprawling urban and industrial centers, known as “heat islands,” and are subject to higher readings than stations in rural areas where temperatures are subject mostly to “land use effects.”

Most of the recent global-warming alarmists use 1998 as the benchmark for the hottest year on record, but it turns out that their reporting is flawed, the result of a math blunder.

In fact, 1934 was the hottest year on record, and four of the ten hottest years in the U.S. were recorded in the 1930s. The second hottest year on record was 1998, but the third hottest was 1921, not 2006. Notably, six of the ten hottest years occurred prior to 90 percent of the economic growth associated with increased greenhouse-gas emissions.

H. Sterling Burnett, a senior fellow at the National Center for Policy Analysis, reports, “Much of the current global-warming fear has been driven by [NASA scientist James] Hansen’s pronouncements, and he routinely claims to have been censored by the Bush administration for his views on warming. Now that NASA, without fanfare, has cleaned up his mess, Hansen has been silent—I guess we can chalk this up to self-censorship.”

New climate reports

In the winter of 2007, NASA satellites indicated that water temperatures in the Gulf of Alaska were dropping, suggesting that cooling Pacific waters may be a precursor to the reversal of a 30-year warming trend. The cooling resulted in the coldest season of Arctic air the lower 48 have seen in more than three decades.

Additionally, Reuters “News” Service reports, “Australian scientists have discovered a giant underwater current that is one of the last missing links of a system that connects the world’s oceans and helps govern global climate. New research shows that a current sweeping past Australia’s southern island of Tasmania toward the South Atlantic is a previously undetected part of the world climate system’s engine-room.”

This, of course, raises an all-important question: How can the climate debate be “settled” if we still don’t know what we don’t know?

Climate modeling

The computer models cited by Albert Gore and company are outcome-based, depending on how a programmer varies some of the five million input parameters or the multitude of negative and positive feedbacks in the program.

Scott Armstrong is a professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and one of the world’s foremost experts on long-range forecasting. He is author of “Long-Range Forecasting,” the most frequently cited book on forecasting methodology.

Armstrong and Kesten Green of New Zealand’s Monash University examined the IPCC’s report, and, at the 27th Annual International Symposium on Forecasting, they concluded, “Claims that the Earth will get warmer have no more credence than saying that it will get colder.”

Armstrong bet Gore $10,000 that he could provide a better climate forecast than that of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which Gore cites regularly. “The methodology was so poor that I thought a bet based on complete ignorance of the climate could do better,” said Armstrong. “We call it ‘the naive model’.”

Gore’s office replied, “Please understand that Mr. Gore is not taking on any new projects at this time.”

The warming Solar System

As it turns out, there are some other planets in our solar system which are experiencing global warming—and these planets don’t have SUVs.

Mars is getting hotter. NASA scientist Lori Fenton reports that the Red Planet has warmed by around one-half degree Celsius in the last three decades, which likely contributes to the retreat of Mars’s southern polar ice cap.

According to Habibullo Abdussamatov, director of space research at St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo Astronomical Observatory in Russia, “The long-term increase in solar irradiance is heating both Earth and Mars. Man-made greenhouse warming has made a small contribution to the warming seen on Earth in recent years, but it cannot compete with the increase in solar irradiance.”

On Neptune, MIT researchers say that planet’s largest moon, Triton, has heated up significantly since 1989, when the Voyager space probe sent back readings from the planet. Astronomer James Elliot and colleagues from MIT, Lowell Observatory and Williams College report, “At least since 1989, Triton has been undergoing a period of global warming. Percentage-wise, it’s a very large increase.”

Imke de Pater and Philip Marcus of the University of California, Berkeley, report that Jupiter is growing a new red spot. “The storm is growing in altitude,” de Pater says, which indicates a temperature increase in that region. The researchers think that, near term, the temperature on Jupiter may increase six degrees Celsius in large areas.

University of Hawaii astronomer David Tholen and his colleagues report that even though Pluto was closer to the Sun in 1989, they are not surprised by a warming that began this year. “It takes time for materials to warm up and cool off, which is why the hottest part of the day on Earth is usually around 2 or 3 p.m. rather than local noon,” Tholen said. “This warming trend on Pluto could easily last for another 13 years.” They predict Pluto’s temperature will rise two degrees Celsius before its next cooling trend.

The Climate Inquisitors

If you are a scientist, politician or journalist, and refuse to comport with Albert Gore’s eco-theological orthodoxy, you’d best put on some body armor.

Speaking to Al Gore’s minions during “Live Earth: The Concerts for a Climate in Crisis,” Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., said of political leaders who suggest global warming is not predominantly manmade, “This is treason and we need to start treating them as traitors.” Junior added, “Get rid of all those rotten politicians we have in Washington, DC.” We presume his bloated uncle is excluded?

The University of Oregon’s George Taylor is that state’s official climatologist, but Gov. Ted Kulongoski wants to strip Taylor of that title because his skepticism about CO2 as a primary factor in global warming interferes with Oregon’s goals to reduce CO2.

Elsewhere, the Weather Channel’s Dr. Heidi Cullen is demanding decertification of weather reporters who dare question global-warming orthodoxy.

Academicians who express their skepticism about global-warming causes are at high risk of losing research grants. Conversely, those who advocate for CO2 causation are in line for some big-money handouts. Thus, when academicians say “green,” they aren’t necessarily referring to the environment.

“Journalist” David Roberts is setting his sights on the “denial industry,” proclaiming, “When we’ve finally gotten serious about global warming, when the impacts are really hitting us and we’re in a full worldwide scramble to minimize the damage, we should have war crimes trials for these bastards [read: ‘skeptics’]—some sort of climate Nuremberg.”

Nonetheless, some of the most ardent global alarmists are starting to change their tune. In 2005, Chris Mooney wrote “The Republican War on Science,” a thorough indictment of the GOP’s attempt to discredit scientific work on climate change. When he started research for his latest book, “Storm World: Hurricanes, Politics, and the Battle over Global Warming,” he assumed it would be more of the same. Then, after meeting with leading climatologists, he concluded, “There’s a wide range of respectable positions here. In the end, I had to write a completely different book.”

Quote of the week

“The world meat industry produces 18 percent of the world’s greenhouse-gas emissions, more than transportation produces. A gallon of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream requires electricity guzzling refrigeration, and four gallons of milk produced by cows that simultaneously produce eight gallons of manure and flatulence with eight gallons of methane. The cows do this while consuming lots of grain and hay, which are cultivated by using tractor fuel, chemical fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides, and transported by fuel-consuming trains and trucks.” —George Will

What is happening in Alabama?

Rush was right.
The media is foaming at the mouth about the heat again., this time its Alabama.

Alabama hits 100+ degrees for 10 days in a row!!!

This of course proves one thing:

It is August in Alabama.

Russia, China, and a missinformed Bishop...

World and local tidbits...

Russia and China are flexing their muscles
with a joint military exercise.

This is close on the heels of Russia's bickering about our missile defense shield in Czechoslovakia, so it isn't hard to do the math on their motives.

Russia has also resumed long range bomber flights on a permanent basis.

" The Pentagon said the Russian aircraft had not come close enough to U.S. ships to prompt American aircraft to react."

...yet. - mang.

Syria is going to host the Russian navy, and put permanent bases on Syrian soil.

This is a prelude to the Russian invasion of Israel, written about in Ezekial 38.
Don't forget that Russia is the financier of the Iranian (Persian) nuclear facility.
They are setting the stage, and the world is snoring.

1 abortion every 3 minutes in America, and the media is in an outrage because this genuis "executed" dogs.
This is actually "breaking news" on right now. Now, I am not for the cruelty of animals, and don't want to make light of it, but when did the life of a dog become more news-worthy than the death of millions of innocent American babies?

Notes from the most Excellent of Broadcasters, Mr Rush Limbaugh's "Rush in a Hurry" newsletter:

We're learning more and more about the Democrats' proposed expansion of the SCHIP program. Did you know that "children" up to the age of 25 would be covered under this if the Democrats get their way. Oh and illegals are covered too.
Battered Liberal Syndrome: Liberals are angry, as they keep voting for the same people and remain miserable. They continue to get sweet-talked and then clobbered over and over. Rush offers hope to those suffering with this affliction.

In an ironic twist, Chuck Missler has is advertising his "Feast of Israel" DVD in his newsletter. That is odd, considering he thinks that they are no longer necessary for the "church". I would encourage Chuck to read the last chapter of Zechariah. Why, you may ask? Because Zechariah 14: 16 states:
And it shall come to pass, [that] every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

If God never changes, Chuck, why would this Feast be so important for God's people in the past, and be required when He comes back... and be irrelevant to us now?

Dutch Catholic Bishop Tiny Muskens has told his parishioners that Christians should begin calling God "Allah" in order to reduce tensions between religions.

The Bishop told a Dutch TV program Monday night he believes God doesn't mind what he is called, Radio Netherlands Worldwide reported. The Almighty is above such "discussion and bickering," he insisted.
92 percent of the more than 4,000 people polled oppose the bishop's view, the Associated Press reported.

And they should. Allah is not the same God of the Hebrew scriptures; not even close. This guy needs to be reminded of all of the names of the God of Israel, and what He stands for - namely Israel itself.
Neither Allah or his followers want to let the Israelis live in their own land... or at all for that matter. It is time for Christians to wake up and smell the Islamic sword, and buck the Catholic trend of appeasing the Muslims and their demands.

What is happening in our public schools!? has a growing, and very disturbing list of female teachers that have raped their students. I had opted against posting this, but the list is growing at such an alarming rate, that I had to put it on.
It is worth noting that more some of these predators are attractive women (granted, some are pretty scary looking too) - what in the heck is going on in our country that could be causing an epidemic like this? And why isn't it being covered by the media? How about,
"To Catch a School Teacher / Predator"?
Here is their list in its entirety:

The big list: Female teachers with students

Here is a list of the teacher 'sexpidemic' cases WND has documented where female teachers have been accused, or convicted, of assaulting students:

Adrianne Hockett: Accused of having sex with a 16-year-old special-needs student in a Houston apartment she rented for the get-togethers. The boy has testified the pair would "have sex, drink beer and smoke weed."

Allenna Ward

Allenna Ward, 24: Minister's daughter from Laurens County, S.C., was a second-year teacher at Bell Street Middle School in Clinton, S.C., when she was fired Feb. 28, 2007, for allegedly having sex with at least five boys. Some of the purported victims, ages 14 and 15, were students at Ward's school. Authorities say the married woman had sex with the boys not only on campus, but also at a motel, in a park and behind a restaurant.

Amanda Athey

Amanda Athey, 27: Charged August 2007 in Huntersville, N.C. with three counts of indecent liberties with a female student and one count of sexual activity with a female student. The relationship came to light when the girl's father became suspicious of the Hopewell High School English teacher's friendship with his daughter. She had told the father she was married to a man named Cal but after her arrest, it came to light she lived with another woman named Callie.

Amber Jennings, 31: Though Jennings was initially charged with having sex with a 16-year-old, the counts against the Sturbridge, Mass., woman were reduced to a single charge of disseminating harmful materials to a minor. She reportedly admitted e-mailing naked photos of herself to a former student. She received no jail time, only two years of probation after pleading guilty in September 2005.

Amber Marshall

Amber Marshall, 23: Northwest Indiana woman allegedly had sexual contact, including intercourse, with several students at Hebron High School, and turned herself into authorities, telling police she knew what she did was illegal.

Amira Sa'Di, 30: Clayton County, Ga., math teacher at Mundy's Mill High School was arrested and charged with sexual assault of a student in November 2005. She reportedly remarked she didn't think her relationship was inappropriate based on her Internet research, learning Georgia's age of consent is 16.

Amy Bramhall, 33: Education technician was arrested in January 2006 after a 15-year-old boy at the alternative education school in Warren, Maine, told police he had an ongoing sexual relationship with her. Flirting allegedly eventually led to an estimated 200 sexual encounters. In December 2006, she received three and half years in prison, with all but one year suspended, and four years probation.

Amy Lilley

Amy Gail Lilley, 36: Inverness, Fla., woman and softball coach at Lecanto High School charged with a lesbian relationship with a 15-year-old girl. She received no prison time, being sentenced in January 2006 to two years of house arrest and eight more years of probation.

Amy McElhenny

Amy McElhenney, 25: Charged with having a sexual relationship with an 18-year-old male student, the 25-year-old Hebron High School Spanish teacher and former Miss Texas contestant will not be serving any jail time after a Denton County, Texas, grand jury refused to issue an indictment in September 2006. While the age of consent in Texas is 17 years, a state law bans sexual relationships between educators and students even if the student is of legal age and the relationship is consensual. She could have faced 20 years in prison if indicted and convicted.

Angela Comer

Angela Comer, 26: Middle-school teacher from Tompkinsville, Ky., fled with her alleged lover, her 14-year-old male student, before being tracked down in Mexico where she reportedly planned to marry the boy. Comer later claimed she was forced at gunpoint by the boy to go to Mexico. She was indicted in January 2006 for illegal sex acts with a minor and returned to Kentucky. Charges included felony custodial interference, two counts of third-degree sodomy and four counts of unlawful transaction with a minor relating to sexual acts. On May 9, 2007, Comer pleaded guilty to one-count of third-degree sodomy, and was slated to serve 10 years in prison as part of a plea agreement.

Angela Stellwag

Angela Stellwag, 24: Delran, N.J., woman accused of having sex in her apartment with a 14-year-old boy she met in school. She was charged with sexual assault for activity that allegedly took place in August 2004. She pleaded not guilty in August 2006.

Becci Hill

Becci Hill, 31: Martinsville, Ind., counselor at Sanders School in Wayne Township arrested in 2006 for for sexual activity with a 15-year-old autistic boy.
