What's The Word?

I'm not exactly what is happening, but I checked "The Word Is Grace" website today, and there are no downloads of this weeks episode. We usually have around 8 to 10 by Monday, so it has me a little worried. We are still being visited by a handfull of people every day, and we are showing up on the search engines - also, I validated our RSS feed on two different sites, so I know that part is OK.

Over at Lucianne.com, an excellent point has been raised. Where is Sean Penn and all of those cannibal stories?

I'd like to know how long did it take FEMA to get out there, and where is the free housing? What about all of the media claiming that these people weren't helped quickly enough because they are mostly white?

(CNN) -- Sen. Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, each donated $2,300 Thursday to the campaign of his former opponent, Sen. Hillary Clinton, which is millions of dollars in debt.


They are one and the same - Obama is merely making an investment into his own ideology.

Scientifically Speaking, What is Dirt?...

So, the Phoenix found that the "dirt" on Mars is similar to that in your own back yard.

I have a question of my own.

1. What is dirt?

According to Richard E. Barrans Jr., Ph.D. (Assistant Director PG Research Foundatin, Darien, IL), "Dirt is made of finely-ground rocks and decayed organic matter. It is actually very complicated stuff."

According to The American Society Of Consulting Arborists, Soil [is] A dynamic natural body composed of mineral and organic materials and living forms in which plants grow.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, Soil [is] A natural body synthesized over time from a mixture of inorganic and organic parent materials, now supporting living plants. Soils with depth have natural horizons (layers) that give them their properties. Such properties include texture, color, structure, and bulk density.

...so what did they find up there? Was it really dirt? I am not trying to nit-pick, but when the definition of soil states that it is composed of organic and inorganic material, and NASA comes out and says that the soil found on Mars is lacking any organic matter, then Houston, we have a problem.
This is the same thing as saying, "we have found a tree on Mars. It has no leaves, branches, roots, bark, or wood in it, but it is essentially just like the tree that you would find in your back yard."

What is soil without organic material? I am guessing that it is rock, crushed rock, and what ever minerals that are indigenous to Mars. That doesn't make it soil though - it makes it rock, crushed rock and minerals.

Isn't it enough that the heavens declare the glory of God? Do we really need to spend billions of dollars trying to prove that He is an awesome God? Look up! All of the drive to find life out there has clouded our vision so much that we can't see the one "out there" who gives life.
...did I mention that God is extra terrestrial? He certainly didn't find His origins here.
Can you imagine what life here on earth would be like if our scientists began setting out to explore the universe and our earth with the intention of showing the public just how complex and amazing the God of Israel is?

2nd Amendment Here To Stay... for now

I can't believe it. They actually voted in favor of the Constitutional rights of the citizens of the United States of America.

The landmark 5-4 ruling marked the first time in nearly 70 years that the high court has addressed whether the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution protects an individual right to keep and bear arms, rather than a right tied to service in a state militia.

Police Report: Mexican Army Members Busted for Home Invasion and Murder
Police reports show that three men arrested in a Phoenix home invasion and homicide Monday may have been active members of the Mexican Army.

While on the J.D. Hayworth show, Phoenix Law Enforcement Association President Mark Spencer said that the men involved were hired by drug cartels to perform home invasions and assassinations.

The Monday morning incident at 8329 W. Cypress St. resulted in the death of the homeowner. Between 50 and 100 rounds were fired at the house.

Spencer said a police officer told him that one of the men captured said they were completely prepared to ambush Phoenix police, but ran out of ammunition.

He added that all were all dressed in military tactical gear and were armed with AR-15 assault rifles. Three other men involved in the invasion escaped.

UPDATE: I have a "This day in history" widget on The Word Is Grace website, and while looking at it during lunch, I realized that today is also the anniversary of the Supreme Court's ruling that barred prayer in school. When you look at what he allows on his official website, it doesn't seem to matter what his press releases say; his people say plenty. The above is a real page from his site.
It turns out that you can just search terms like "Israeli Lobby" on the Democratic Messiah's official website, and see exactly what his people think about Israel and the Jews, among other things.

Temporary Fixed!

I have a temporary fix that allows The Word Is Grace to be seen on Internet Explorer.

It is a stripped down version, but it works - I will be updating it on my breaks, so stay tuned.

UPDATE: The temporary fix ended up being exactly what I needed - I went in and added some META tags, for better searchability, and fixed some broken links.

Bug is the Word

After digging in the HTML code for a solution to the RSS Feed Error in Microsoft's Internet Explorer, I discovered that there is an enormous can of code-worms in my template.
Don't worry, they are not the kind of worms that hurt your computer, just a can of worms that hurt my ego.

It seems that Firefox has the ability to look past my mistakes, and display The Word is Grace web page and feed just fine (maybe that's why I am so fond of it...). However,
Internet Explorer throws a fit when loading the page. Evidently my coding is so bad that even IE7 won't read it - too many conflicts.

When I get some free time, I am going to change the entire format;
probably swap templates, and change the way the RSS loads.

I apologize for the hassle; keep checking back.
In the meantime, iTunes is still loading the feed properly, and as far as I know, it can still be found on the web (podbean.com, podcastpickle, etc.); and of course, Mozilla Firefox.

Because it is a free domain name, there is an advertisement for register.com at the bottom, but I wanted to get it online before the name was taken, and so we could advertise it a little easier. Fortunately, the banner advertisement is not that obstructive; and hey, its free.
