How are we to abide in Yeshua’s words? Were His words new, or was he merely telling us what God the Father had to say? We believe that it is of the utmost importance to know what His words are, especially if we are called to obey and abide in them! In America, obedience and submission have almost become derogatory terms. Our Master, Yeshua demands that we obey Him! We, as disciples (Talmudim) are required to not only know the words of the one we serve, but we are to live them. Our Messiah’s words are to become to us a way of life. We serve a merciful and gracious God, whose love is larger than anything we could ever know. But there is more to our God than His mercy; He demands and deserves our obedience. The gift He has given us as believers is free, but we owe Him nothing less than our entire lives. Yet again, this week our Savior claims to be God. Yeshua told the Pharisees “before Abraham was, I am.” I submit to you today that He STILL IS. Let us all take a moment to think about this, one of the most profound statements in the entire bible. He still is the great I AM. Shabbat Shalom!
In the past, when talking to other believers, I have avoided conversations that involve Messianic or Hebraic Roots topics unless they are brought up by the other person. I have found that most people who bring the subject up intend to argue, or just get hateful and nasty about it. For this reason, I have kept quiet.
Not any more.
There is an urgent need for Truth in the Christian world today. In almost every direction, my wife and I see people who profess to believe in Jesus, yet have almost no visible signs of His presence in their lives; usually because they refuse to acknowledge His instruction. I am not saying that we have arrived, nor am I saying that we are perfect representations of what a Christian marriage should look like. We have struggles just like everyone else. I will say however, that we are surrounded by people who say they love Jesus, and their lives are falling apart at the seams simply because they refuse to obey Him. That is where our problems differ. She and I typically disagree on the details of how to fulfill a commandment in the Torah - not whether we should acknowledge itin the first place.
I had a conversation this week with a person who told me that they actually feel sorry for my oldest child because I have taught him not to eat pork, or any of the other animals God tells us not to eat in the Torah. This person, who is a Christian, told me that there is no reason that a kid should feel guilty for "eating a big hunk of Spam if he craves it – it is sad; he should know that that is OK, and that he is covered by grace.”
Let’s look at this for a moment.
Number one, I will never apologize for agreeing with God’s word, which clearly tells us that eating swine flesh is an “abomination.” God’s food laws in the Torah are never changing, just like the rest of God’s word.
Though my son is covered by God’s grace, I believe that it would be a grave mistake to teach him that it is OK to break God’s commandments because we are “covered by grace.”
I believe that grace is a gift; not a garment used to cover my vices.
This typifies the problem with modern Christianity in America; not only is there is no shame in our actions, but we have transposed our will over that of God Almighty’s. American Christianity has reduced the commandments of God into categories of degree. If we, as Americans don’t think a certain commandment is wrong, it becomes acceptable among Christians to break that commandment. This goes for mainstream topics as well as “Torah related” commands. For example, there is a growing number of Christians who believe it is wrong to spank their children, and just as many who believe they are not supposed to talk about Jesus in public. We have openly gay ministers! Meanwhile, you can hear the latest dirty joke from your “Christian brother,” go to the river boat casino, or even support abortion, and never be confronted by other believers. It has become wrong to call out your brother, even in love.
We, as believers are in no position to allocate God’s commandments to greater and lesser degrees; that is, as long as the commandment starts with “Do not” “you shall not” “don’t” or “Think not.” Jesus tells us the two most important commandments, and guess what… both are fulfilled by “obeying God and keeping His commandments.”
I say all of that to say this:
Mainstream Christians typically believe that it is silly to think that eating bacon is a sin. I submit to you today the fact that if Jesus believed that this was a silly commandment, and refused to obey it, we would all be lost in our sins, still seeking a savior. Thank God He was obedient, even unto death.
Let that sink in, Christian…if Jesus had eaten just one pork sandwich, one slice of bacon, a single shrimp, crab leg, lobster tail or alligator tail, we all would die in our sins because he would be DISQUALIFIED FROM BEING OUR SAVIOR. The Torah tells us not to eat those things, thus making it a commandment. “Do not eat” is every bit as serious as “Do not kill” – not because they are equally bad, but because they are prefaced with “Do not.”
It is NOT a silly topic, and we, as believers should never take any of God’s commandments lightly.
“Do not” still means “do not,” regardless of what is written after it.
From a party of liars I guess this is to be expected. Though, I can not for thelife of me figure out why any rational, thinking American would fall for such BULL.
My opinion is this: The Democrat (Communist) Party has made their choice, and the hardliners have to get behind that choice, or face retribution form the party leaders. Of course the party leaders are all powerless, washed up degenerates, but that is beside the point.

Has anybody seen the sales for Nancy's new book on Amazon? 2 months, and she has sold less than 6,000 copies. Why has she sold so few copies? Because she has absolutely no integrity in the job she has been given. Though her endorsement is worthless, it is very telling - if she is so positive that Barack is a blessing to us all given by God Himself, then we can safely assume the exact opposite to be true.

UPDATE: It looks like they have kept to the agreement... sort of. Evidently, the Russians are still digging in their positions, but they are preparing to pull out on Monday (tomorrow).
I was wondering how long it would take for Mikhail Gorbachev to speak out on the Russian war. He is still alive... looking a bit like Danny Devito, and sharing many of the same political views.

Oh, wait - I was talking about communists wasn't I? Silly me, I always get them mixed up. As I was saying, the communists are notorious for lying to the public. I have a book on my shelf titled "You Can Trust The Communists... To Be Communists" and it is still absolutely true, I might add. You can just as easily throw the acronym KGB in there, or DOC - take your pick. The point is that they have made lying a science, and you can trust them to be just exactly what they are - communists. There is an old saying from the USSR that goes like this; "In the Soviet Union, you can't even trust the past" and with good reason: Even history isn't safe from their lies. Remember the beginning of Orwell's 1984? "He who controls the present, controls the past. He who controls the past, controls the future. This is not limited to the Motherland either, just step into any Liberal Arts college, and you will hear a much different past being presented in the classroom then what you were likely taught.
The sacariest thing about what I am hearing about this war is that Old Russia sounds a lot like the New American Left.
Here in the US, we are getting a trickle of stories with Liberals saying that we can't respond without being hypocrites because we invaded Iraq. That is the mindset of the Left - there is no good and bad, it is all relative. No righteous or evil, just opinions. I don't know who started this newest war, and don't claim to. I do know that I was trained extensively by the United States Army on the Soviet's tactics, and this is right out of their playbook. Right now, somewhere there is a Russian general plotting a way to take the next small satelite country... right after he figures out how to blame the US for it. The Cold War is back, and colder than ever.
I am going to bed. It is yet to be seen if I will get any sleep.

Between you and me, this makes me a little nervous to say the least. Last week's Torah portion ended with the words, "Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you." Of course, in its context, Moses was speaking of the enemies of Israel as they were preparing to take the Promised Land, but I find it comforting none the less. Isn't it good to know how the story ends? The good guys always win.
As you all know (all four of you), I am a big supporter of Charles Johnson at the Little Green Footballs. I think that there is no better place to find a balanced view of Islamic terrorism and the lack of coverage of it by Main Stream Media. However, I believe he has "thrown me under the bus" so to speak when it comes to my adherence to the Word of God.
Charles has taken an almost militant stance on the subject of Intelligent Design, and those of us who believe that we were created by a loving God, and not evolved form nothing like Darwinism's proponents would like us to think.
Though I highly admire Charles' ability to find and blog important stories, I am a bit disappointed with where his anti-Creationist stance is taking his site. I go there 3 or 4 times a day... or at least used to, to see what the 'Big Three' refuse to report. I do not need to be attacked for my beliefs each time I want to see the news, so I have chosen to delete the link from my Firefox toolbar. Of course it is his blog, and his right to blog as he seems fit. It was a hard decision to make, but in the end my patronage is not worth it.
I don't know about all of the people that support Creationism - I had no idea that Muslims were Creationists, yet I have been lumped in with the likes of terrorists and freaks because I believe the words of the bible. When I think about it, it makes sense that Islamic people would be Creationists, because they claim to believe the Torah; that is beside the point though. As a Messianic believer, I believe what the bible says - God created everything in 6 days, and rested on the 7th. That is the heart of the issue; I believe it, and Charles does not. For one reason or another, he has chosen to slam each of us who take the Word of God at face value, and I refuse to apologize for it. Muslims do not believe in abortion... but that shouldn't condemn all Pro Life people.
Here are some points on the issue from my perspective:
1. The God of Israel (LGF supports Israel, just as I do) claims in His Word to be the one that created mankind in the form of a man and a woman. They were formed from the dust of the earth (Adam) and given the breath of life from God Himself. 2. The fact that Muslims believe and even support Creationism does not make the concept evil any more than Hittler's like for chocolate makes Hershey's bars evil. 3. Despite the media's attempts to make it fact, evolution is still a theory, and should be taught as one. It is represented as fact; from science text books to math books, "millions of years" is the mantra. 4. Scientific evidence for the transmutation of species is a myth... unless you count things like the donkey, which can not reproduce. You will never see an ant evolve into a bumble bee, or a mole, or a flower, or a monkey. 4. Scientific laws, if that is what evolutionists are basing their argument on, condemn the theory of evolutin and the Big Bang. Entropy and the second law of thermodynamics in particular deny the plausability of such occurances. 5. The laws of mathematics and information still say that nothing times nothing equal nothing. All information has to have an informer. If you see a neetly kept garden in the middle of the forest, logic and science tell you that it had to be planted and tended to. 6. The fear of admitting that there is a God is ordinarily the #1 roadblock to admitting these truths, because with that admissin comes a responsibility to put God in His proper place in our lives - at the top. 7. I will ere on the side of God's Word any day of the week - even if it means getting rid of my link to a favorite news source. In the end, I do not have to defend God - He is fully capable of taking care of that Himself, which coincidently is the very reason that there is a state of Israel today in the first place - His Word is True.

I have a retraction to make also - not one that I blogged about, but one I mentioned to some friends. I said that I believe that Russia was possibly luring Israel into attacking Iran while they were tied up into another war-front, thus opening the door for Russia to legitimately attack Israel in the future. This of course would line up with Ezekiel 38 and 39, but it doesn't seem to be the case. I have said before, and will say again that I am a little paranoid when it comes to world politics. I do not think it is in Israel's or America's best interest to trust Russia, or any of their allies. Perhaps what we are seeing is the beginning of Daniel chapter 7, where the Bear has three ribs in its mouth saying, "Go, kill and devour." Is Georgia the first of three ribs? At any rate, that is typically how my brain functions in matters like these. Bear with me, I am merely speculating, and posting my thoughts - I am not prophesying or claiming to know what will happen.
With all of these fake letters coming out from soldiers in Iraq, I thought that you all might want to see what a real soldier in Iraq has to say about McCain, Obama, and being an American. I have corrected a couple of spelling errors, and capitalized a word or two - no content was changed.

I am an American soldier. Sometimes I feel like these words have lost there meaning. I am writing to you from Balad, Iraq and I am here with all my brothers and sisters of the armed forces to protect and defend the freedoms that we all so much enjoy. The Expert Says It's a Fake
Barack Obama may be on a world tour surrounded by a fawning media, but yesterday an expert in electronic document forensics released a detailed report on the purported birth certificate -- actually a "Certification of Live Birth" or COLB -- claimed as genuine by his campaign. The expert concludes with 100% certainty that it is a crudely forged fake: "a horribly forgery," according to the analysis published on the popular right-wing Atlas Shrugs blog.
The purported birth certificate was published by the left wing Daily Kos blog on June 12 in response to unconfirmed reports that Obama was not in fact born in the United States (Canada and Kenya were suggested as the possible locations of his actual birth). Since he would in that case not be a natural born US citizen (his mother was not present in the US sufficiently long as an adult to pass American citizenship on to him automatically), he would not be eligible to be president. Israel Insider has followed the story and uncovered evidence, most recently, of admitted forgery among Daily Kos bloggers, tolerance of electronic forgeries on the blog site, as well as efforts by a blog administrator to conceal the admission of forgery.
The latest examinaton of the purported documents is by far the most detailed and technically sophisticated to date.
Atlas Shrugs publisher Pamela Geller reports that the expert analyst, who goes by the screen name "Techdude", is "an active member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, American College of Forensic Examiners, The International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners, International Information Systems Forensics Association -- the list goes on. He also a board certified as a forensic computer examiner, a certificated legal investigator, and a licensed private investigator. He has been performing computer-based forensic investigations since 1993 (although back then it did not even have a formal name yet) and he has performed countless investigations since then."
The pseudonym was apparently inadequate to prevent Techdude's identity from being exposed. He reports that last week one or more persons "decided to track me down and vandalize my car and hang a dead mutilated rabbit from my front door in a lame attempt to intimidate me from proceeding with releasing any details of my analysis. They did succeed in delaying the report by a few days but instead of deterring him they really angered him. To their credit, he says, the extra days enabled him to locate the most damning piece of evidence, the remnants of the previous security border."
Techdude's detailed report, which runs more than 3000 words and 20 pages with extensive magnified illustrations and comparisons, reaches the following conclusion about the documented that was first published on the Daily Kos extreme left-wing blog and subsequently publicly endorsed by the Obama campaign, both in statements by official spokesmen, and featured on its "Fight the Smears" website. Here are some of conclusions:
"The (Daily) KOS image security border pattern does not match any known specimen from any known year. It does not match the pre-2006 nor does it match the post-2006 certificate patterns. The placement of the text in all of the pre-2006 and post-2006 certificates are almost identical pixel location matches while the image's text placement does not match any known specimen from any known year. The shape and kerning of the fonts used in the 2006 through 2008 certificates are identical while the shape and kerning of the fonts used in the image does not match any known specimen. The KOS image shows clear signs of tampering such as the mismatch in RGB and error levels, visible indications of the previous location of the erased security border, easily detectable patterns of repeating flaws around the new security border, EXIF data that says the image was last saved with Photoshop CS3 for Macintosh, and finally a technician from Hawaii who confirms it just looks wrong."
The evidence, he says, allows for two possible scenarios by which the document was fabricated:
"There are two obvious scenarios used to create the image that can be ascertained from evidence. Either a real COLB was scanned into Photoshop and digitally edited or a real COLB was first scanned to obtain the graphic layout then blanked by soaking the document in solvent to remove the toner. After rescanning the blank page to a separate image the graphics from the previously obtained scan could then be easily applied to the blank scan after some editing and rebuilding. It would also explain why date stamp bleeds through the paper and the various bits of toner located around the image as well as the remnants of the previous location of a security border."
After more than a month of controversy and demands that the Obama campaign produce a paper birth certificate for analysis, this damning new evidence raises the stakes for the democratic party and its front-runner.
Will Obama and his people continue to stonewall in the facing of the mounting evidence of forgery, and provide paper proof of an authentic, original birth certificate or even a genuine secondary Certificate of Live Birth? And will the mass media and mainstream pundits, which so far have hesitated to touch the hot potato, finally address the loaded issue of his possible unfitness to meet the basic Constitutional requirement for a President?
Perhaps the outspoken Israeli press corps will be able to do what their American counterparts have failed to do so far. Obama's visit this week to Israel will be an opportunity to begin asking the tough questions, however unpolitically correct, about his apparently forged birth certificate and what that means for his citizenship status and Constitutional fitness to be the next leader of the free world.
