Google this.
At first I didn’t take this seriously, but when I saw for my self which Holidays Google does notice, I began to get a little irritated...

See for yourself, courtesy of Google. I personally like how they promote Independence day, and the right to vote... all while refusing to honor the men and women who make these things possible. That's peculiar, considering the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival seemed worthy enough for their accolades.

From one 'Zionist pig' to another...
Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs received a death threat last week – from a Reuter’s employee, stating, "I look forward to the day when you pigs get your throats cut."---------------------------------------
From Y-net News: Reuters employee issues ‘Zionist pig’ death threat

What “pigs” do you suppose this whack-job is referring to? People who tell the truth when mainstream media covers up for the terrorists? People who refuse to minimize beheadings, homicide bombings and random rocket attacks to “angry youths, insurgency and activism”? People who stand up for
Charles is guilty of some pretty offensive things if you happen to be a hard-core Muslim or anti-American... or Jimmy Carter supporter. Some of his more offensive crimes include; nabbing Dan Rather for lying through his teeth about President Bush’s military records, and exposing the likes of Cindy Sheehan, Al Gore, and the rest of the Left wing, America hating, self loathing, Death Cult.
Keep up the good work, Charles. After all, where else are we going to get the real news? ...Reuters?

In the Wilderness - Bamidbar

On one hand, I definitely see his provision in my life - I have a wonderful family, a nice home, and we rarely ever go hungry.
On the other hand, I feel like I should be closer to Him. I feel like He is letting me go dry for some reason, and in times like these, I become my biggest enemy. Instead of digging into His Word, searching desperately for the Living Water, I tend to find myself dragging my feet, complaining about how dry my mouth is. It is perplexing. In the physical world, I drink because I get thirsty – if not for the dreaded feeling of thirst, I would dehydrate. In the spiritual world however, if I get thirsty, for some inexplicable reason, I intentionally avoid the spring of relief. “O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” Rom 7:24
I must remember that I am saved by God's grace; by the enormous price that Yeshua paid for me on the cross, and if He loved me enough to go through all of that in order to save me, I am encouraged to believe that He will sustain me while I am Bamidbar.

War, Wikipedia, John Stuart Mill, Liberals, etc.
Take John Stuart Mill for instance. Though Wikipedia calls him a "Liberal Thinker", his views hold little in common with the "liberal" of today. In fact, it is just the opposite. The man who "...has nothing for which he is willing to fight" that he speaks of is the epitome of today’s liberal... or the French.
"War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." —John Stuart Mill

Does Sharia Law protect funeral protestors in France?
It is sick that there had to be a law against something as asinine as this. I am amazed at how many people hate their own country so much that they are willing to publicly protest the families of dead soldiers. These people have the freedom in this country to say and show what ever they feel. At the same time, if this is how they feel, they need to get out. America does not want them. Go to France. In France, you will be welcome – heck, you may even be celebrities, but as for here in America, you are not wanted. You need to exercise your freedom to leave. As a matter of fact, go to Mexico. Live there for a while, and see why people are risking their lives to get to America. Wednesday, May 24, 2006
"It is the Soldier"
"It is the Soldier, not the reporter Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Soldier, not the poet, Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer, Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the Soldier, not the lawyer, Who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Soldier, who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, And whose coffin is draped

The Art of Growing a Beard
I am reading a book titled "The Art of Growing a Beard", by Marvin Grosswirth. It is pretty comical, because the whole book is entirely serious.
There were some great men who sported some fantastic beards in their day, me included. I personally enjoy changing my look as often as my growth will allow me to. In fact, I am somewhat puzzled by the response that I get when I change my facial hair. One person at my workplace even told me that I "Lost twenty years" when I shaved my beard off. This intrigued me, so I began experimenting, and I must say that I found quite the opposite to be the truth.
I think that though I look a bit silly with no beard, I tend to pick up a few years without facial hair.
See for yourself...

Bush Bashing vs. Calling into Account
I think it is time that I posted a little from Ann Coulter. So, without further ado, I give you her latest paragraph of sheer genius, taken from her weekly newsletter, “Online Human Events” (click here for the homepage)…
The difference between Bush's amnesty program and "amnesty" is: He'd give amnesty only to people who have been breaking our laws for many years -- not just a few months. (It's the same program that allows Teddy Kennedy to stay in the Senate.)
Bush calls this the "rational middle ground" because it recognizes the difference between "an illegal immigrant who crossed the border recently and someone who has worked here for many years." Yes, the difference is: One of them has been breaking the law longer. If our criminal justice system used that logic, a single murder would get you the death penalty, while serial killers would get probation. (Emphasis mine)
...a Friend in Deed.
It seems like I can’t remember ever not knowing Pastor Friend. When he learned that I was struggling with drugs and alcohol, he was quick to say, “Get your butt in the car and move in with us. You need to get your focus on Jesus, son!” I stayed with his family for almost a year, and not once did I feel like I was not part of the family. I mean that literally, too. When I was acting like a fool, J.P. was quick to say so. He was “no holds barred” type of guy, but I always knew it was because he cared about me. He cared about God’s Kingdom. He preached fire and brimstone on Sundays, and was quick to cut-up with us at home.
Never, in a million years would I have imagined him dying in a car wreck – I assumed he would be around until I was an old man, telling me, “I still have your tools, Aaron. You can pick them up anytime…” He had a toolbox with some old tools in it that I left at his house when I moved out – I never made the effort to get them because it was fun joking with him about it whenever we talked.
At any rate, he will be missed. I thank God that he got to see his son and I get saved before he went home, and that I got to be a part of the family for as long as I did. You should have heard his voice when I told him that I had found Jesus. He said, “I knew you’d come around - it’s about time! Now… I have these tools…”
…I’m going to miss hearing that.
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus, God will bring with Him.
1 Thessalonians 4:13 & 14.

Susan and Cindy Join Forces... this ought to be good.
Finally! A CNN headline that makes sense:
"Concern over waiting so long to dispatch National Guard Troops to Mexican Boarder"
Oops... I seam to have read that wrong. I should have known better.
CNN – “Concern over plan to dispatch Guards to Mexico border”
-------------------------------------------------------------------It appears that the Left is suddenly worried about our troops. God knows, we wouldn’t want them protecting our own boarders, now would we?
Meanwhile, the wack-o’s are coming out of the woodwork to
protest these same soldiers, and our Government...
----------------------------------------------------Sarandon Joins Vigil Against Iraq War.
...yes, that is a weeping Susan Sarandon, and no, that is not Jimmy Carter’s son beside her, it is the ever intelligent "Peace Mom", Cindy Sheehan (Peace Mom meaning she has disrespected and publicly spitt on her son’s honor in the name of a very, very exhausted fifteen minutes of fame).

Obey your parents - and Keep Sabbath!
I had an epiphany of sorts yesterday during a conversation with Tim Terry, about following God’s law, or Torah. I have been asked many questions, and been in my share of arguments over the topic of Torah Observance. The usual statement that I hear is “Jesus did away with the Law” or, “Isn’t that Legalistic?” or, “Those things are for the Jews – that was given to the Jews.” Tim has had his share of these same conversations, and is currently in an online dialog with a Pastor who used these same arguments.
Let’s tackle the first one, “Jesus did away with the Law”. In answering this statement, it only takes one passage; Mat 5:17 says “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.” That seems pretty self explanatory, but people tend to think that what He was really saying is “I didn’t come to destroy them, but as soon as I have fulfilled them, you are under no obligation to do any of them ever again.” That is not what He said.
And the Second one; “Isn’t that Legalistic?” Jews in the first century had no concept of Legalistic. Their entire lives were encompassed by the rules of Torah. Of course it was Legalistic – But, that same word that is used for “Law” is the same word for Torah. Consequently, we (like Paul, Timothy, John, James, Peter, Jesus, and any other follower of Jesus in the first century) are “Torahistic”. I refuse to stop doing what God tells me to do based on misinformation handed down by the mainstream church. The Law is Gods instructions. Somehow, this has turned into a condemnable offence to Christians as a whole, because of faulty teaching concerning God's Instructions.
And lastly, lets look at “Those things are for the Jews – that was given to the Jews.”
For starters, Paul said that “There is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.” Rom 10:12.
If that wasn't clear enough, the book of James is written to the “twelve tribes which are scattered abroad.” James 1:1 -That is not us. This book is a favorite among Christians because it speaks of grace, yet it is clearly written to Jews.
Here is where the epiphany comes in; in Leviticus 19:3, “Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my Sabbaths: I [am] the LORD yvour God.”
Did you notice that these two Commandments are in the same sentence? If the Sabbath was for Jews, and the parent-obeying was for all, don’t you think that God would have mentioned it? He did not. He did not, because both Commandments are His Teaching, and because they are both His instruction, they hold equal ground.
Shabbat Shalom!

Internet Cello Society features Mstislav Rostropovich
One of many reasons to check out the Internet Cello Society.
Mstislav Rostropovich is the featured artist right now. I must say that Pierre Fournier is my absolute, personal favorite, but come on - Rostropovich is incredible, and the hype around him is warranted… especially when you hear him play Bach.

What ever happened to Objectivity, Observation and Experimentation?
I thought that I had read the most ridiculous "scientific evidence" piece (Greek word for that is: Camel Dung) a couple weeks ago, when a decorated liberal enlightened the secular world with the explanation of Jesus' walking on water by attributing it to His moon-walking across large chunks of ice, but this is just as moronic. In fact, if there ever was a reason to discourage my children from ever entering a secular college, this is it:
------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry old Bean, the apes got there first
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am sorry, but words can not describe how asinine this statement is. The article goes on to say that “Language appeared only 2 million years after the first laugh...”
Unbelievable.
How, pray tell, do these “scientists” determine when the first laugh was, when according to their own hypothesis, spoken language didn’t come about until two million years later? I find it amazing that the “scientific world” will undoubtedly take and give this information as fact, while at the same time doubt and criticize every word in the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures – regardless of how recent they are historically, and how many eye witness accounts there are, both biblical, and in extra biblical writings – writings that have survived thousands of years without the slightest change in content (other than minor grammatical discrepancies that do not change the meaning of the text).
Is this science? Is this “knowledge based on objectivity and involving observation and experimentation”? If you answered yes, I have to point your attention to the words “objectivity”, “observation”, and “experimentation”. Then I have to ask you... well, wait a second. If you are still answering yes, then I won’t ask you anything.
You must already be a “scientist”.
As for the rest of us "Laymen" we will simply stick with the Truth, and that which we can determine by objectivity, involving observation and experimentation.
It's not New Orleans, it's His Holy City.
I should say up front that I believe homosexuality is sin – just like, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, envy, murder, debate, deceit (Romans 1:29)... you get the point; are sins. Can you imagine a parade hosting thousands of cheating husbands declaring; “We cheat on our wives, and we are proud of it – accept us!” or legions alcoholics staggering in the streets telling the world, “This is who we are! Give us the same driving privileges as sober people! We should be able to go anywhere we want – accept us! This is how we want to live!” (Oops, I think I just described Mardi Gras... but you get the point).
I am saying all of this because of a recent headline in Ynet News:

The provocation mentioned in the article stems from Orthodox Jews, who reacted violently to the "Gay Pride" parade held in Tel Aviv last year.
In
I know that gays can find the Savior, and I believe that they should be accepted into the congregation - when they have repented of, and acknowledged their sins - just like an alcoholic, or a child molester, or a thief should. I must say though, that I pray that the Orthodox, the Non-Orthodox, the Ultra- Orthodox, the Christians, and the Messianics, and anyone else who knows Israel’s history, can rise up to stop this thing before the Provoked One has had enough.
