Bush Bashing vs. Calling into Account

I think it is time that I posted a little from Ann Coulter.
If you are not familiar with Ann, allow me to fill you in - you will either love her or hate her, but either way, you will not forget her. Nobody writes about politics like she does; with such finesse… and temper.
Let me state very clearly first, that I support our President. I know that this is not a popular position to take in this day and age, but I believe in supporting our leadership. However, I also belileve that sometimes that same leadership needs to be called out when illogical solutions are proposed. They work for us. It would be irresponsible for the public to sit back and allow absurdity to flow from our leader's podium - almost as irresponsible as slamming him for everything that comes out of his mouth (for examples of this, check out CNN, MSNBC, Jimmy Carter, Katie Couric, the AP, or any one of the countless millions of Left-wing blogs that live each day to bash Bush).

So, without further ado, I give you her latest paragraph of sheer genius, taken from her weekly newsletter, “Online Human Events” (click here for the homepage)…
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The difference between Bush's amnesty program and "amnesty" is: He'd give amnesty only to people who have been breaking our laws for many years -- not just a few months. (It's the same program that allows Teddy Kennedy to stay in the Senate.)
Bush calls this the "rational middle ground" because it recognizes the difference between "an illegal immigrant who crossed the border recently and someone who has worked here for many years." Yes, the difference is: One of them has been breaking the law longer. If our criminal justice system used that logic, a single murder would get you the death penalty, while serial killers would get probation. (Emphasis mine)
